Cookie Policy
What cookies and browser storage this website uses, why, and how you can manage your consent.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by websites you visit. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work in the same way. They are widely used to make sites function, to remember your preferences, and — where you consent — to measure how a site is used.
Our approach
By default this website uses only strictly necessary storage, which does not require consent. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies unless you give your consent first, through the cookie banner or the cookie widget available on every page.
Storage we use
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
oc_cookie_consent |
Remembers your cookie consent choices so we don't ask on every page. | Strictly necessary · local storage | ~6 months, then we ask again |
oc_a11y |
Remembers your accessibility preferences (text size, spacing, contrast, and the other options in the accessibility widget). | Strictly necessary · local storage | Until you clear it or reset |
oc_consent_id |
A random identifier, not linked to your identity, used to correlate your consent records as proof of consent. | Strictly necessary · local storage | Until you clear it |
These are first-party only — they are set by this website and are not shared with or readable by third parties.
Cookies that run only with your consent
If analytics or marketing tools are added in future, they will be listed here and will load only after you opt in. Until then, the Analytics and Marketing categories in the cookie widget are switched off by default.
Third-party services
- Hosting — Netlify: serves the website and processes server logs for security. See our Privacy Policy.
- Fonts: the site's fonts are self-hosted on our own server — they are not loaded from Google Fonts, so your IP address is not shared with Google.
Managing your consent
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the cookie icon at the bottom-left of any page, or the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer. You can also delete or block cookies and local storage through your browser settings, though strictly necessary items are needed for the site to work properly.
Record of your consent
When you make or change a cookie choice, we keep a record of it — the date and time, the choices you made, the policy version and a random identifier (not linked to your identity) — so that we can demonstrate your consent, as required by the GDPR. These records are processed on our behalf by our hosting provider (Netlify).
